At the Ballarat Begonia Festival, we love our beautiful Botanical Gardens - and we are doing our part to keep them blooming for generations to come! This year, we're going greener than ever with some exciting eco-friendly initiatives.

Here's how we're making a difference:

• Ditching plastic - You won't find plastic water bottles here ...instead you will be able to purchase an official 2026 Begonia Festival reusable drink bottles.
• Drink stations - Thanks to Central Highlands Water, you can refill your water bottles at one of our drinking stations. There will be water stations for your four-legged friends too!
• Less waste - Recycling and composting stations will help keep rubbish out of landfill, with friendly staff on hand to help you sort it correctly.
• Hop on FREE Shuttle - Our shuttle buses from Ballarat Station make it easy to get here without the carbon footprint.
• Grow your green thumb - Join our educational gardening workshops to learn sustainable gardening tips from local experts.

Join us in looking after the gardens and making the festival greener! Bringing your reusable bottles, sorting waste and taking public transport where you can.
